Welcome to my weekly blog. I am so glad you are here. I pray my words reach those that it is meant to and it serves to help you see you as God sees you, as a beautifully and perfectly crafted masterpiece.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN?

  • Why you are feeling the way you do?

  • How to stop the negative cycles?

  • You are not alone.

  • Ways to start taking control back.

  • Discovering a life worth living.

Have you ever felt frustrated, angry, anxious, emotionally exhausted, not good enough? Ever feel like no matter what you do, it is just not good enough, nothing works out? The truth is, you are not alone. In fact, we have all had these thoughts at some time or other in our life. The difference between us is how well, or not, we manage these thoughts. According to the National Science Foundation, an average person has 12,000-60,000 negative thoughts a day. Of these, 80% are negative and 95% are repeating in our heads, over and over again, like a scratched record. It is important to note that our thoughts become our emotions, our emotions translate into our actions and our actions dictate the life we lead. So, how do we stop the negative cycle? How do you bring life and living into focus and strike a life worthy of living?

A successful life is consistently and intentionally lived through our habits/roots. For example, if you want a healthier lifestyle, you may want to consistently choose healthy options, this means stopping one behavior (breaking habits) and starting a new one (creating habits). Let’s go deeper, I remember when I wanted to distance myself and heal from relationships in my life that caused me pain, I turned to the sword of the spirit and I intentionally and consistently, started to assume the best of intentions and accepted their shortcomings as an area of opportunity for them and not a problem in me. Matthew 12:34 reads, ‘…For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.’ I also stopped matching their negative behavior, Peter 3:9, reads, ‘Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.’ I remember feeling a sudden weight lift off me, a peace surpassing my understanding and an unexplainable joy pouring into my life.

The recipe for achieving a life worth living is consistency and intentionality in truth. Growing roots in the Lord so no matter the attacks, your house, your peace, will stand. Your thankfulness and gratitude will be unshakeable. Proverbs 12:3, reads, ‘A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.’

Now, along your life journey, you will hit a few bumps in the road, there will be hard days, trying days, storms will come to pass, negativity will try to flood you, things won’t go as planned but I implore you to stay rooted in truth, break the negative thinking with new thoughts of truth, remember these when the hard wind blows:

  • Philippians 4:13, ‘I can do all thigs through Christ who strengthens me.’ My friends, the Lord is your strength and He lives and dwells in you. He waits for you.

  • Philippians 4:19, ‘And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.’ Shut out all negative voices in your life. We all need a community to help support and encourage us but be mindful of the friends you keep. Proverbs 13:20, ‘Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.’

  • Ephesians 6:10, ‘Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.’

You have beauty inside of you, you have a life that is worth living. Don’t keep the world from you. Let’s embark on a journey to develop, root and impart who you are. You are loved, you are needed. There is no one like you, you are a unique gift from our Lord and savior. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Together, you too can find a peace that surpasses all understanding, a joy that no words can describe and a purpose immeasurably more that you can ask or imagine. Isaiah 30:18, ‘But the Lord still waits for you to come to him so he can show his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for him to help them.’

Blessings from your life coach and friend,
